I have spoken to multiple seniors and professors and I have researched through the courses offered by the universities.
I have the following list of universities shortlisted, however I am finding it hard to eliminate out of these to come up with my top 10 best application.
I would be very glad if someone can help me shortlist them by any of the following
1. Sharing me more about criteria of an university that you know about
2. Whether I'm not clearing the average cut-off the university usually demands.

Ambitious
Georgia Tech
UCSD
UIUC
University of Wisconsin, Madison
University of Maryland - College Park
University of Michigan Ann harbor
University of North Carolina - Chapel hill

Moderate
UC - Irvine
Northwestern
North Carolina State University
University of Massachusetts - Amherst - UMASS

Safe
Arizona State University
Stony Brook - SUNY

Any help would be highly appreciated.

Lots of state schools on that list; you think private schools are too expensive?

Usually public schools are more protectionistic than privates, e.g. have higher standards for internationals vs. domestics.
