Hey yall,

I really just wanted some strait up advice on my transfer situation. I would deeply appreciate any thoughts or ideas you guys would have.

This is my third semester and University of Mary Washington. I do not have any bad feelings towards this school, but its not the school for me, and I want to transfer. My college GPA is 3.55 for the past two semesters (I am currently in my 3rd semester, and judging from all my first tests, I will be getting mostly A`s on the mid term report). My ACT taken back in 2008 is 26, and I just recently took the SAT which i studied pretty hard on. Lets say I get a 1900+. Taken a mixture of econ major classes, transferable gen eds, and two semester of computer science classes mixed in.

The thing that is killing me is my high school gpa. I recently found out from a UVa admissions dean that my HS GPA was 2.85! Keep in mind this was at a prestigious boarding school, but it goes to show you how much I cared for high school. (If only I had a time machine to tell my 17 year old self to shape up) I am from the Philippines BTW, but also a NC resident. (Pops owned a house there).

My choices are (in order of importance to me):
1. Washington and Lee
2. Cornell ILR
3. UVA
4. William and Mary
5. George Washington University
6. UNC
7. Vanderbilt
8. American

Do I have any shot? Is there anything I could do to help me from now until March 1?

I will have a great rec for W&L from my former headmaster whom is an alum, other good recs I assume from 2 college professors, and some essays I working my hair off. Please let me know; no sugar coating required.

Im a big boy now.... Who wants to transfer :(!

Thanks again everyone!
