Required GPA by the end of junior year

I’m trying to apply for a scholarship, and they require me to have at least a 3.5 GPA by the end of junior year. However, I had a 3.41 by the end of my junior year. I was planning to retake a class that I did bad on during my sophomore year, which will raise my GPA. Do you think that I could make the scholarship? Or no?

Unless you failed the class and are retaking it, most schools will not give you credit for the same course twice. doing better in one course is not enough to raise your overall gpa to 3.5

@bananaoou

The school had a cut off for the scholarship. Only the SCHOOL can tell,you if that is a hard and fast cut off…or not. In the vast majority of cases, schools will not change their cutoff GPA for scholarships.

You didn’t have it.
