Required Senior GPA

Okay, so, the required senior GPA for UCLA and Berkeley is supposed to be an unweighted 3.0. Does anyone know if this is only including a-g courses (would art be counted?) and is the 3.0 requirement the average for the year, or for each semester?

Art is part of the a-g requirements since it fulfills visual/performing arts so it counts as part of the GPA.

Thanks, that makes my life a bit easier, anyone know the 2nd question?

I think it's each semester... it makes more sense this way. It just wouldn't sound right if a 3.0 is the requirement for a year-- b/c this means that the student can get 4.0 first semester... but only needs a 2.0 second semester.

oh crap,

is the unweighted gpa requirement of 3.0 for a-g courses only???

because i have 5 classes senior year, and first semester i slacked and got a 3.0 unweighted, but it was less than a 3.0 if you only count the uc courses.

wow. i might already be eliminated from berkeley.

somebody know the answer to this?
