Requirements for Harvard

Can someone explain to me the full requirements for Harvard.
Such as the number of SAT IIs taken, APs taken, SAT I scores, and ECs.

thank you

You need to send Harvard the following:
[ul][]Common App or Universal App (with Harvard Supplement)
[]SAT I or ACT
[]Three SAT II's
[]Teacher recommendations
[]Secondary School Report
[]Mid Year School Report (to be submitted after your first semester grades come in)[/ul]

There are no required minimum scores or minimum number of ECs.

Harvard College Admissions Office: Prospective Students

I think you need 2 teacher recommendations and 1 counselor recommendation.

Why don't you get the official info from Harvard's site instead of asking strangers on a message board for such important info?

LOL I'm gonna have to agree iwth Northstarmom.

have you heard of google?

nop, i haven't heard of it...this is a forum isn't it, obviously everyone is a stranger to each other lol
thanks weasel and oglita for being helpful.

cheers

There is a difference between buying an iPod from a stranger in your area and buying it from the Apple store, no?

For your sake, please do what Northstarmom suggests and explore the site Weasel gave you.

agreed!! Check the official Harvard website for such important questions. Don't take strangers word on something so important.

questions about the counselor rec...what if your counselor is a total idiot and doesn't have a strong relationship with you?(public school)

Colleges know that many public school GC's are stretched pretty thin, and plenty of students from large public schools are accepted to top schools. My advice is to start getting to know your GC, so that he can at least sound like he knows what he's talking about in his rec.

Yea, fortunately my GC absolutely loves me. Honestly... I think she wants to have my children. Its... weird.

Don't underestimate your counselor or give up on him/her just yet. Get to know the counselor, go in and ask questions. They're not always that busy and sometimes they're lonely. I'm sure they'd love to talk to a bright kid for a few minutes! That way, by the time he/she has to write it, your counselor will know much more about you.

My problem is my GC situation is a bit unstable...my old GC(who I found much more experienced and qualified) left for some reason, and this new, inexperience, lazy guy comes in and he has no idea what he's talking about. I hope the old one comes back in the fall :(

First of all, stop thinking of him as a "total idiot". Assume the old guy isn't coming back, and just make the best of the relationship you have with this one. The internet can always fill in any gaps in knowledge.

k thanks for the advice
