I just want to know… because I don’t know a lot about UCD and I’ve been considering this school now.
What is the average SAT and GPA they accept?
Is this school really picky?
Please don’t give me obvious answers like “it changes every year” or “they take other aspects into account”
Yes, that thing’s the first thing that pops up on google.
UCD is considered a selective school with about a 38% acceptance rate as of 2015.
Average UC GPA was 4.07. Average ACT was 29 and Average SAT (Math+CR) was 1288. Much will depend upon your intended major. The more competitive majors STEM, will require above the average stats.
Updated information can be found when the UC application opens 2016. In the meantime, yes using Google will give you a lot of information. I also suggest you look at the UCD decision threads for this year.
Make sure you meet the UC a-g course requirements, take the SAT and/or ACT and can meet the minimum UC GPA of 3.0 for in-state or 3.4 for OOS applicants.

That should give you a good feel for average test scores, GPA, and rigor - ECs are harder to effectively compare - then there are the essays… which do hold sway as well.
You will need to play around with this one a bit but, here you can see an illustration of how the competition varies year to year.

Aim to be slightly above this year’s average and you’ll have a pretty good shot.
For my year, they seemed exceptionally picky. That being said, the year previous to mine the entire UC system seemed to free up and allow a great influx of students, causing them to have to be more selective in their admissions process for my graduating class (2015). I was a decent student (4.2 GPA, 32 ACT, lots of AP classes) with a pretty strong essay and a lot of ECs. Surprisingly, I was one of maybe 3 other people from my entire class to be accepted into UCD. I think it really depends on the major you’re going into (I was English, so they were more lenient probably) as its a science-focused school and can tend do me more selective for pre-med students. I’m not sure if this helped, but I thought I’d chime in from personal experience.
Don’t forget to look at the data that Davis posts. It shows the 25-75% ranges of last year’s class. https://www.ucdavis.edu/admissions/undergraduate/student-profile/
