requirements of a stock broker....

I'm in my last year as an undergraduate at UCSC. I will graduate with a 3.4 gpa and majoring in Global Economics (practically the same as Economics but we have to learn a language). I know the basics of becoming: need to take the Series 7 or 63 tests, have some sort of major relating to economics, and know the market.

Now here is my question: In order to take the Series tests, I would need to get experience as a broker, so how do I enter in the industry? And do most stock brokers, these days, go to graduate school? Also, is there any other websites/forums that deals with these kinds of inquires like for careers?

Thanks!
