<p>I realize that on the NYU Admissions site it has the absolute minimum of prerequisite classes that are needed for eligibility. I am missing one year of Social Sciences to meet the requirements, and I wish to apply to the Tisch Drama School. Is it a waste of my time if I am missing this one course?</p>

<p>i've already asked them about this and they say that they can make exceptions based on your schools curriculum. what i'd do is include a reason why you don't have that extra year in your "additional info" section</p>
<p>unless you're entire schedule is designed around basket weaving they will not really care</p>
<p>I intentionally did not take a third year of social science because I felt there were other courses that I would get more out of/enrich my education. Is that an acceptable reason? I mean, it's the truth, haha.</p>
<p>Sounds good to me, but you might want to phrase it differently, like: "I decided to take only two social sciences, because I really wanted to explore __<strong><em>, because I have such a strong passion for learning _</em></strong>." </p>
<p>Also, you might want to ask your counselor, they know alot.</p>
