Rescinded from UC Berkeley?

God damn. So in the ecstasy of acceptance last night I enrolled in the summer transfer edge, only to today read in the conditions of admission:

“If you wish to attend summer for any reason, you must receive approval from your UC berkeley admissions officer before your enroll in summer courses”.

Hopefully this acts as an alarm and stops other UCB acceptees from enrolling just yet. In the meantime, I’ve emailed my admissions officer. What do you guys think? Honestly, I’m typing this out of nerves. It’s gonna be a hellish weekend waiting for the admission office to open.

Oh, no, just say in your enthusiasm you enrolled last night, and then read this. I’m not sure what that msg refers to exactly, but it’s ok.

Made the same error. I think it should be ok though. If you have all your pre-reqs completed, and just about everything else is in order, why would they reject you? It is all about the functioning of bureaucracy. Berkeley is just trying to keep things organized.

What classes did you enroll in through Transfer Edge? I chose ECON 171: Economic Development, and EDUC N140: Literacy - Individual and Societal Development. Econ for upper div requirements, and Educ for American Cultures requirement.

Lol. Yes, the transfer edge program is actually just a devious trick that Berkeley uses to trap new students into violating the conditions of their SIR, so they can rescind as many people as possible.

Just kidding. It exists for a reason. They aren’t going to rescind you for joining a program that they encourage you to participate in. Just notify your admissions officer you will be be enrolling in it.
