Research Assistant in Psychology -- How to Find Job??

My son just graduated from a good LAC with a degree in psychology. He is planning to go to graduate school for a Ph.D., but wants to work for a few years first. He has applied for a few positions as research assistant in psychology at some schools and at a psychatric hospital; the leads were provided to him from his former professors. In addition, I've spent hours and hours searching for such jobs on hospital websites.

It truly has taken hours to find a handful of these leads. Does anyone know how to find leads for these positions in a simpler, more efficient way??

I was just wondering if it would be possible for you to help him find some leads through friends/acquaintances who might know some physicians and/or psychiatrists/psychologists in hospital/university labs who might need a research assistant. Also, medical journals frequently have ads for such positions. I would also check the websites of professional psychology or psychiatric organizations, because there might be an online career center.

Yeah, the APA has a website, and there was one possibility there. I'll check for a psychiatric organization. Thanks.
