<p>They've put up the list of student research presentations for "Collaborations", April 22nd, and they look amazing!</p>
<p>Those who are going to Open Days might want to consider staying on an extra day, if you really want to see "Smith in Action". Discovery Weekend (for minority students) is also scheduled (deliberately) for that weekend, so they can sit in on presentations.</p>
<p>Thanks, Mini. Really does look quite interesting, and what great opportunities for these Smithies. Does this program have any ties to STRIDE?</p>
<p>Some of the collaborations are with STRIDE students and their advisors, but others are not related to STRIDE but based on classwork or other research. I think some of the descriptions mention that the presentation is related to STRIDE research, but I'm going off the pamphlet I received in my mailbox. I haven't looked at the website.</p>
<p>I know the list is incomplete, too. My d. has one (on the opera), but it isn't listed. The day before (Friday) there are STRIDE poster sessions, and some of them are carried over into presentations on Saturday, during Discovery Weekend. </p>
<p>It was these sessions that confirmed my d.'s decision to attend Smith.</p>
