STRIDE projects are out! Recommendations?

Hi everyone,

I just got the listings for STRIDE projects yesterday, and now I have a great deal of sifting to do! I was wondering if anyone could recommend certain professors who would be good to work with (I am more interested in humanities, especially French and linguistics, but I'm considering some social science or even biology projects.) There are so many fascinating options, but I think that the most important factor will probably be the professor, since s/he will be directing my work...

Thanks for your input!
Cygne

You’re right…the professor is a key consideration. The current students would have better takes but you could PM me with some of the possibilities…I’m not willing to compare specific profs by name in public.

Also, this is one of the few questions where DailyJolt can be really helpful.

TheDad, I think I may be PMing you about STRIDE projects, too!

Feel free to PM me as well…my areas of “expertise” are mainly in the social sciences, but I have experience in some of the humanities as well.

Go ahead and PM, Blue Butterfly. I’m afraid I struck out on Cygne’s but that’s just the luck of the draw.

Cygne, check your PM. Relayed opinions therein.

Thanks, TD, I just got your PMs.

TD: I believe I accidentally messaged you that I am a '12–not true, I will be a '13. I get ahead of myself sometimes! Anyway, your PM box is full, so I thought I’d post the correction. :)

Ah. I got a message and just cleaned out my PM box. I’m something of a packrat. Thanks for the clarification. Will relay appropriately.
