<p>I've heard that doing research in a lab is highly looked up in college admissions, especially if one is going into sciences, however, how much does this help in admissions? If the person does research and contributes significantly with many hours, is that a big plus? Or is it only counted if the research is widely recongnized and/or published?</p>
<p>of course it's a plus... esp if you get an award at siemins or something</p>
