research/internship

i graduated from high school in 06 and i'm currently not in college. I will be attending colelge in fall 07. In the meantime, I would like to do som ekind of internship someplace. My future plans are to go to med school. So I am seeking an internship in bio-related.

I have searched alot and could not find anything there. The research programs or the internships are either for undergrads or high school seniors or juniors. I do not fall into neither categories.........

So do u guys have any ideas of where i should apply or do? Summer research or internship anywhere.......please give me some feedback.

Unfortunately internships or any undergrad research programs are competitive. I assume you aren't working now, so I would just find a job that gives you descent work experience or for med school why not volunteer at a hospital.

Have you looked at this site?

Amazingly convenient. And it seems to fit your bio-related requirement
Scroll down to the bottom for a bunch of lists of links to internships.
Good luck!

thnx, shrubber. I think this website will reach me toward getting an internship/reseacrch. But again, most of them requires 1 year of undergrad done or some kind of undergrad requirement. Should i call the program co-ordinator of the programs i am interested in particular to discuss my situation?

It's worth trying- you never know what might happen. I applied a month late to a program that I was accepted to.
