Research Papers-Sending only the abstract?

I'm wondering if its ok to only send the abstract of my research since by the time I apply early, I will still be in the process of writing the paper itself. Its not so much a matter of me putting the time into the paper but rather due to some funding and equipment that will not be readily accessible to me in the lab I work at for a couple of months.

I'm also thinking of beginning a new project(totally unrelated to the first) over the summer since I won't be able to pursue my current paper for a couple a months. Is it good or bad to send multiple abstracts? I think I'll be able to have 2 down before the year ends.

Will Harvard ever ask me to provide the full research paper?

I would not recommend sending in the abstract without a finished paper. Your can certainly write a short paragraph describing your research and submit it as the additional material in the common appl.

Because Harvard forwards the research supplements to the actual department of interest, I feel like a finished paper would be more meaningful than an abstract.

So is it fine if I send the full paper of the project I finish and the abstract of the other one? I’m guessing the abstract should just go on additional info or part of my resume or something?
