i have a weird image of this little lady taking my money, scanning my application for a brief second, and throwing it away going "HAHAHA"

LOL! You should suggest that to the staff when they do their skits.

^lol If I Get A Chance To Go, Maybe. ahah

Aspiration Index (confidence of getting in) = 40%
Anticipation Index = 30% (recovering lol, not THAT fervent anymore... but still)

doesn't mean u have to have anything to have high aspiration index lol, just how confident u r. Remember always that never lose faith! if u don't even think of yourself as being qualified... need i say more?

i bet i have the least on my apps compared to everyone here... so far my standardized scores are the lowest too xD

@Mit dude: eh, standardized test score seem to just be what gets your app not thrown out rather than what gets you into teh actual dart throwing, apple-bobbing section of things...

Wait, so since I found out that I got a 2330 on the january sat, then I should print it out & send by snail mail instead of faxing?

so if i take the sat in march and scores come in 2 weeks but are unofficial [online], i definitely shouldn't send them in?

darn!

The March SAT scores might be a little late, but it can't hurt to send them in. Why don't you call or email CEE to make sure?

You could do both, of course, but you should really contact CEE to see what their preferred medium is. They have a much smaller staff than you'd think, so it's to your advantage to make things as easy on them as you can.

(I guess that's generally true when you want something from someone... :) )

Ok I can't figure it out. How do people do the quote box? I've been on cc for like two years and I've never figured it out...the check box for "quote message in reply?" isn't clickable for me (firefox user).

alrighty, thank you privatecitizen!

hahaa dmrenrel, i have no idea how either!

[/quote]

Use quote tags around the stuff you want to quote. Quote tags are in square brackets like this:

[noparse]
[quote]
"Do Lipton employees take coffee breaks?" -- Steven Wright
[/quote]
[/noparse]

The result is:

[quote]
"Do Lipton employees take coffee breaks?" -- Steven Wright
[/quote]

You can find other tags here:

aww man... then they won't even look at my app? if my scores are so low they'll just throw it out despite what i think are good recs and essays? dang it! they took my money, and now just scans my score and recycles my apps? wth?

i really hope that's not the case, because my psat was pretty bad. hopefully they'll let at least the 200s + past the first round!

When anyone finds out abuot what their preferred medium is, can you post it?

Well still no postcard but I my check cleared. Funny.

have any past non-international rickoids been rejected from MIT

yes... i forgot where i saw... but 2 out of... ppl since 2004? dang i forgot xD some didn't go to MIT though.

ahhh do you guys think that a low score will just put u out of consideration immediately? without even a look on anything else? that'll be kinda cruel in judging performance... and aspirations.

I think you'd need absurdly bad scores to get thrown out on scores alone.

first post today! yay! lol why ppl arent that anticipated anymore? or do u guys all have better things to do while u wait? xD
