Residence dilemma

I originally thought that Solin hall would be a good residence for me because I love being independent and would like to familiarize myself with Montreal as much as I can. However, I tend to be a relatively quiet person and so I'm worried that making friends may be more difficult in Solin Hall, where it seems as though there's not too much interaction between its residents (in comparison to other residences anyway). For those of you who have lived in Solin, is this true? Do you think I would make more friends and be better off in a residence hall like Douglas?
Thanks for your help.
