Residence Halls for transfers?

should i live here as a transfer student or is this place full of annoying freshmans?

I heard this is the most social but idk if i want to live here.

you shouldn’t go in with the mentality of “annoying freshmans”. keep in mind that both freshmen and transfers are both new to UCLA, so both types of students traditionally have more to relate to and talk about. in a way you’re a freshman as well.

i’m a transfer student as well, but i lived in a plaza. most of the people on my floor were 2nd years who already had their group of friends established and planned to live with each other already. they weren’t really looking to make friends, but i’m pretty social, so i was in a way able to infiltrate their “cliques” so to speak.

if you’re looking to meet more people, halls are definitely your best bet. just because freshmen are young and new to college doesn’t necessarily mean they’re immature

i’d consider yourself lucky actually. like Andrizzle said, its much harder to make friends with 2nd-3rd years as they already have established their “cliques”. the way halls are set up with shared bathrooms and long hallways simply makes it much easier to meet people.

if you’re still worried about freshman though, the rumor is that a lot more 2nd-3rd years are in halls now.
