Residency Appeal - Please HELP!

Hello everyone,

I am a newly admitted transfer at UC Berkeley from a CA Community College. Recently, I was denied residency for indicating an out-of-state driver's licence on my SLR (Statement of Legal Residence). I've lived and worked in California for 4.5 years and can provide all sorts of evidence of presence/intent except CA DL. The reason for this is that I am not able to obtain it due to immigration documents being stolen a few years back. I am currently in the process of recovering them and obtaining a CA DL; however, it may take more a few months before my request is processed by the USCIS and DMV. Is there anything I can do about this? Should I appeal? If so, it is due Sunday, and I would really appreciate any advice.

Also, will my appeal have any impact on my ability to reapply in October for the Spring semester?

Thanks!

Bump, anyone?

As for the appeal, I’d say it wouldn’t affect your attempt at a reclassification, but ask the financial aid department to be safe.

Good luck to you.

Hello I was just wondering how you appeal went through.
