Rest in peace, Vin Scully. You were an all-star in every sense of the word

My favorite Vin Scully moment, but there are MANY MANY others for this all-time great. Go with peace, Sir!:

My childhood was spent at Dodger games and watching them on TV. My Dad is very sad tonight.

And another great moment with the equally awesome/incredible Hammerin’ Hank Aaron on a special night in 1974 as called by Vin Scully:

So sad.

If I could “like” this thread a million times I would. Vin was one of a kind.

He was a Giants fan too.

The local sports talk radio show played his complete call of the famous Dwight Clark “Catch,” this AM, from the Dallas-49ers NFC Championship game in 1982.

Also, whenever I see the movie “For The Love of The Game” on TV, I always enjoy(ed) his call of the Yankees-Tigers game, where Kevin Costner’s character, Billy Chapel, arm falling off, pitches a perfect game. Tears every time.

At his craft, no argument, he was the GOAT.
