Georgia Brown’s is great. I definitely agree with that one. Can’t beat the fried green tomatoes!! Yum!(:

As a former DC resident, I must say that Buca di Bebbo is a ghastly place to eat. Unless you enjoy greasy foods like massive portions of meatballs and chicken parmesean in a chain restaurant environment.

for good restaurants Obelisk is really excellent, especially for legit Italian. I must have eaten there 8 times 2 summers ago, and a handful of times since. They owner of Obelisk also owns Pizzeria Paradiso, another favorite of mine, but expect a wait and Neapolitan style pizzas with thin crusts and not 14 lbs of toppings. Something to keep in mind for some, but something those of us who have been to Italy yearn for more.

Blue Duck is also excellent, as is 1789 (or whatever number it is, haven’t been in a while. Awesome American food). I ate at Komi in Dupon Circle recently and it totally blew me away. Citronelle is also a personal favorite, they have been excellent for years and continue to be excellent.

Buca di Beppo is terrific and fun!!! It is not greasy at all. The gigantic meatballs are made of a mixture of meats and are so yummy.
