Does anyone know a good Japanese restaurant in the Ithaca area?

Plum Tree is Collegetown is good, but a little expensive. A lot of my friends prefer Cafe Pacific (also in Ctown) because it’s cheaper.

Miyaki is good too. Don’t know how the prices compare though.

Info:
416 Eddy Street, Ithaca, NY 14850-4618 (607) 277-6767

Miyake is good but probably the most expensive. However, the male waiters do not card if you are looking to get sake bombs.

both are very expensive, for me at least. miyaki was pretty good but i ordered 6 pieces of sushi for like almost 20$. not filling. plum tree was soso tasting

Sushi and sashimi are expensive. If a Japanese restaurant is inexpensive then you should wonder what you are eating. One other thing to consider is “do you see an ocean anywhere around Ithaca?” How do you think they get tuna up there (woudl you really want to eat a cheap tuna roll)?

I like the Korean restaurant in front of 312. I often see a lot of Asian kids there with one or two of their token white friends there.

Just a Taste is a good tapas place, inexpensive and fun. Next door there is a bar (I don’t remember the name), which is a good place to have drink while waiting for a table at Just a Taste.

Miyaki, I believe, have a Tuesday (I think Lunch) Special where the same food is like $6 or something. Probably something you might want to look into because apparently there’s a crowd of people there on Tuesday.

I’m more into dinner if that’s relevant now.

pretty sure the one infront of 312 is kokos. their food is soso
