So I’m applying to Stanford REA, and I have a question about the situation that I’m in. I’ve recently finished all of my college apps, and I received an email from Gonzaga University saying that since my application is already in, I would be considered in the Early Action pool. (I applied regular decision.) I’ve email them saying I’d like to be put back into the regular decision pool, but I’ve received no response. Will this affect my Stanford decision? What should I do?
I think you are OK. You applied regular decision and informed Gonzaga to keep you in the regular decision pool. Save the email you sent just in case but I think you are following the REA requirements.
@momofsenior1 thank you! Will do
You may also want to check in with your guidance counselor to see what they recommend. They could also email admissions at Gonzaga to keep you in the RD pool.
A college, at its discretion, may notify RD applicants earlier than the promised notification date. Looks like you are following Stanford’s REA rules by applying to Gonzaga RD, even though Gonzaga may choose to notify you earlier than the promised date for RD notification.
