After already submitting my application, I reread it, and noticed I had grammar mistakes in my Diversity essay. I called the Admissions Office and they let me resubmit it. It now shows up on my tracker in the materials list as “Student Essay”. Does that mean that they could still see my old essay and the mistakes I made? Will it lessen my chances at the UofM??
If they said you could resubmit I’d assume it’s like when you send new ACT/SAT scores, they’ll see your lower scores but use the new ones in consideration… I’m not totally sure but just know they have the corrected one, if they read the old and the new they’ll probably realize it’s edited
Honestly many students got in without even writing an essay, so if you have a decent GPA and ACT score, you should be ok. Just my 2 cents.
@kkarssenn @genuine77 thank you for reassuring me!
