Welp We'll all find out pretty soon so post ur results here wen u do. I know most of us will get in, I hope all of us do (including me, got a gut feeling im goin to get deferred). GOOD LUCK to all!!

Oh man, I thought the results had come out!

Yes I have the same feeling about getting deferred. You know its bad when you dream about getting rejected.

should we start working on those essays? lol

haha, we might need to. Sometimes I feel like I have a pretty decent shot...and other times I figure I should start thinking about my other options. ;]

Well...less than 48 hours to go. haha

how many of you got the foundation fellows application in the mail?

S got the FF stuff in the mail. He was dismayed at all the extra work he had to do to apply for all that- he thought he was finished when he did the quick application online.

yeah applying for FF is pretty much a waste of time for me... id never get it. However I am applying to the honors program if i get accepted.

I got FF Ap in mail. Not sure why. GPA kind of lo (3.7 UGA); SAT's good-not great Math: 700; Reading 730; Writing: 710. I've heard you need at least 1500 (old SAT) to even be considered. I'd love to get honors, but doubt I will. I do have lots of ECs.

So you didn't bother with the FF application Ryan? I sent it in although I know I have no chance.

Fuzzyduck my stats are almost identical to yours(you have me by a few points on the SAT, i have lots of AP's though). I didnt apply because the essays were relatively specific and I wanted to do a different one for the other schools that I applied to. A lot of kids applied for FF from my school although I dont think many will get it(maybe one of them). I probably should have sent it in... hopefully UGA admins wont interpret it as a lack of interest.

My gut feeling is they sent FF apps to people with 1400 + m/v

I got an FF app to. With only 20 acccepted into the program i did not give myself a chance. The Val at my HS applied 2 years ago and did not get in. I have a 1480-2160 and decided not to go for the FF program. I have completed the regular honors app however. ~10% of entering class get in..see qupote from uga.edu below

"Honors at Georgia is one of the oldest, and most well-established such program in the U.S. The Program's 2500 students represent about 10% of UGA undergraduates."

S completed the FF app (has no chance) because it will serve as the Honors App and, who knows, a little money might come his way!

alright 1 hour and counting. Good luck to everyone. I dont know what I am going to do if I get deferred, but if I get accepted I will post.

1 hour! how exciting.

do we really find out today?
i thought we found out the 15th?

i'm not 100% sure, but i think at 5:00 p.m., when everyone's online application status thing is back up, those who applied E.A. will be able to find out whether or not they got in....in my opinion, half the excitement is getting the letter from the college and finding out whether or not you got in. So if I had applied E.A. I wouldn't be checking.

I was thinking about waiting for the letter but I don't think I can resist

just logged in and got
