Retailing and Consumer Sciences Major

Hi,
My daughter was recently accepted to University of AZ (Fall 2023) and is strongly considering majoring in Retailing and Consumer Sciences. Is anyone familiar with the major (i.e. the professors, internship/career support, ability to study abroad, and how difficult the math courses are)?

Thank you.

It’s not a major I’d recommend. The job prospects are not great and many of the jobs can be gotten without a college degree.

What do you base your opinion on?

The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics reports earnings by majors. Those retail managers with a 4 year degree make 47k on average (everyone, not just new graduates). But the OP didn’t ask for career advice…

Couldn’t that degree lead to jobs on the corporate side of retail? Seems like a broad degree to me and is not limited to retail management.
