retake 2400? DONT LAUGH

For God Sake retake, 1 is honour, how can you lose that 1 point. 11 is absolutely nonsensical and foolish. Retake to get 12, preserve you honour, sir

ashleesman- I don't think you understand. Since you say you're a "normal" person, you can never understand what goes on in the minds of the best scorers/achievers. To you, all scores at the top seem like a dream that you would be too happy to realize, but if you do get to the top, you will see that there is always something more, something better. That is why even though the OP has gotten almost the best score possible, he/she still wishes to be better.

But OP, I think your score is already beyond good enough. Besides, there are always little variations from test day to test day, so I think colleges will understand that you can probably get a 12, and it might have even been a grader that made the difference. Your essay could have very well been worth a 12. Besides, you will get to show your writing skills on the essays if your applications, so adcoms won't have doubts regarding your writing.

Omg You Suck At LiFe Just Quit You Noobie!

Dont retake. Waste of money and 4 hours worth of time. Use that time getting a higher GPA or working the ACT, or other subject tests.

He's not going to retake it and this topic might even be a joke for all we know. If fewer than 1000 people get a perfect score, colleges will not look bad upon it. The worst that can happen is that a college will request your SAT essays, compare it to your college admission essay, and compare the two to see how you did in each and whether you were truthful or something.

No one is going to care about your perfect score in the end. Colleges want to see what you do outside of school. If you study all the time and get good grades, they won't like that. **A 2400 is a great addition but you need to focus more on extra curricular activities, specifically activities relating to writing such as journalism(try to become president of the club). Those activities look a lot better than a 12 on an essay. **

Listen to cyborgxxi.

Why do you not have enough common sense to prove to them you're "better than an 11" through your essays? Jeez..

I'm laughing...

Wow, what a loser. You seriously couldn't do any better than that, huh?

alright, so actually this is quite possibly the stupidest thread ever, and coming from someone who got a 2400.....i'd expect you guys to be smarter than that.

Way to revive a dead post....I think everyone's established that this guy is a troll.

Actually, farralicious, you just made yourself look like even more of an idiot than the OP by reviving an already-pointless thread that's THREE MONTHS old. What, were you searching for posts about 2400s just so you could brag about your own? Uh huh, that's what I thought.

You should go to the

You deserve it, you piece of crap, you, you...disgrace. You dishonor your whole family!
An 11? An 11? What is this? Some kind of girl scouts?

Shame...filth...disgust...repugnant...pungent...

You don't deserve to live.

no wonder ur stupid

u only got 2400 ! even my 5 years old cousin could do that

retake it and get 2500

southeasttitan: SORRY!!!

I don't have a friggin 2400.....actually i've never taken the SAT in my life. I'm taking it March 1st and I'm hella nervous.

I'm actually fairly new to CC and was just searching for advice on studying for the SAT's when I came across this thread and found it funny/annoying...I didn't realize how old it was till supermanpq pointed it out. excuse me for not checking the date, i just posted a reply.

thanks for calling me an idiot....

A 2500 is all well and good, and will definitely get you into Harvard or Princeton, but I don't think that the OP is going to apply to such mundane, peasantry-invested schools. To get into Hogwarts, the OP is going to need at LEAST a 3120, assuming he gets an 800 on the rarely talked about forth section, which only becomes visible to those who score a 12 on the essay, Defense Against the Dark Arts.

i wud def retake since most ivies only accept students with a perfect 13

Godfatherbob: If not a 3180... I know someone that got rejected from HW with 3140

I think this score is terrible...I dont even think you deserve to live...how do you live with yourself?...Retake for the sake of yourself...then God!...jk with the God part...

dude...lol retaking a 2400 what has the world come to!! lol naw i wouldnt retake it cuz your not guaranteed another 2400 or even a grade higher then 11 on your essay

lol. aim for that imaginary number

i'm not accusing you, but it seems like ppl on this site post stuff like this to brag. "i got a 36 on my ACT first time and i'm a freshman...but it's only a 35.75 should i retake it?!" but hey, congrats, and my advice is that it WONT make a difference in scholarship/admissions since alot of schools discard the SAT writing and use the CR+M score. so do whatever ya want.
