Of course you should retake it. It does not hurt if you mess up badly, because colleges superscore anyway.

Unlike lulumobile, I AM accusing you of bragging.

You just wanted to sneak the fact that you got a 2400 into a forum somewhere without being overt, didn't you?

wow..umm ill give you money if u take my SAT for me this weekend!
noo joke. il give atleast 5K dollars. =

but i dont think u need to retake it. ull be fine. =)

omg you got an 11!

you will never be a successful English major.......

I would NOT retake it. That one point difference wont matter, and it will probably make you look bad on the application(like you're obsessive/compulsive/paranoid), and it would cost 40 dollars, and there are no guarantees you would improve. Not worth it. Go enter writing contests, try and get your writing published, join the school paper. There are much better ways to show your skill in English. You could also apply for scholarships, awards, and essay contests that you could put on your app to show you are a good writer, and win money at the same time. But for goodness sake, don't take it over, there are much better things to do for your app.

no future here .

The OP only has two posts, lol.
Probably is going to get rejected by every college he or she applies to.
2400 is horrible! I got a 2910 and was waitlisted/rejected by six colleges. :p
Go Blue Devils! But.. I am reminded that if I only got a 3190 that maybe I would have gone to my first choice.

your sat essay is ten times more important that your admission essay, so retake. Colleges really look at your SAT essay, since the SAT essay is the perfect judge of your writing caliber. So instead of doing extra ECs, writing good admissions essays, and exploring your meaningful talents, you should spend that time perfecting the use of stupid tricks to boost your SAT essay score by one point.

lol, SAT essays don't show ur writing skills at all. the SAT essay is a 25-minute formula and any uncreative person well-practiced in SAT essay-writing will get a 12.

dude...just dont go to college ur life is ruined

Ofcourse you have to retake the SAT
you have absolutely no chance of getting into
english major in universities that you want -- all
competitors got 12. DO YOU EVEN HAVE TO ASK?

You know, for a person who got a 2400, you're pretty retarded. Maybe it's because of that 11/12. :O

DO NOT RETAKE!!! You will not get a 2400 if you do retake, even though you will get a 12 essay. No one cares about the essay portion of the SAT anyways. It's just a BS section ETS added because they decided to change the SAT. They wanted something new and exciting.

The SAT does not measure your writing skills. The 25 minute essay is not what you will be writing in college as a paper. I think you should relax, and maybe do something stupid because you've achieved enough in your high school career.

Ha ha ha ha haaaaaaaa, I got a 12.

However, I only got a 2340 composite :(

What a loser...

Guys leave this thread to die seriously. This guy is obviously trying to show off. But congratz on 2400.

Can you say Idiot?

you are a ****ing idiot.

sorry

haha i got a 36 ACT and an 11 on the essay my first time, and the thought crossed my mind that i should try to get a 12, but.... hell no.

Can you say troll thread necromancy...?

Your Mom says retake it
