Retake 670 Chem or Focus on Studying for Biology E/M

I recently took the Chemistry and Math II Subject Tests, and I scored a 670 and 800, respectively. I did’t study at all for the chemistry test, and I focused instead on Math II. Should I retake Chemistry or just study for Biology? I made a B in chemistry all year but I made a high A in biology. I’m worried because schools like Yale and Stanford require you to send all your subject test scores. Would I be penalized for scoring poorly on the chemistry subject test.

Thank you!

I seriously doubt that you’ll be penalized. I’d say that it’s completely worth it to give Biology E/M a shot. I’m assuming you want to major in engineering?

Yes. I’m interested in engineering or computer science. I’m still debating over whether or not to retake the chemistry test because I heard most don’t retake subject tests. I also did well on the ACT if that helps. I got a 35 composite(35 English, 36 reading, 36 math, 32 science).

Chemistry and Biology are two completely different beasts, so you might actually do a lot better on the Biology E/M subject test (I didn’t take it but many of my friends did. They found it easy). And your Math II and ACT scores are excellent, so in the event that you did wind up using your Chem score, I seriously doubt that that one score would cripple your entire application.
