Pretty much title. Just scored a 34 on July as a rising junior.
I say no. It’s a great score! Focus on the other parts of your application.
Seems as though you are considering retaking an “A+” to get a higher “A+”.
It might be better to try the SAT or SAT subject tests.
However, if you are in a scholarship competition and one of the factors considered is standardized test scores, then feel free to retake if you are confident of improving your score.
Pretty hard to imagine getting rejected based solely on your 34 not being a 35 or 36.
Probably not worth the effort unless you are trying for scholarships where 36 gives you a better scholarship than 34 (e.g. at University of Alabama Tuscaloosa and Huntsville).
My S19 did this last spring…and scored another 34.
Besides scholarships, the only other reason i csn think of to do so is if you feel one of the subscores is weak and matters. For example, if you plan to apply to engineering school and had your lowest subscore in math (while you had 36s in English. ) But that too might be offset by a good SAT math 2 grade.
