I'm applying to ivy leagues, and I recieved a pretty good score on the SAT I. However, I took the ACTs October, and it was awful. I got a 31 composite: 28 reading, 35 math, 34 english, and 26 science (this was very very bad).
Some ivys look at all scores for admission. So I was wondering if i should take the ACTs again in december or retake my SAT II subject tests (which are in the mid-700s but I could improve them and take math I also).

When a school requires “all” scores, it means all scores of the same type. So either all SAT I reasoning tests or all ACT tests.

If you are happy with the strength of your SAT, then don’t bother retaking the ACT. Not sure why you want to keep working on SAT IIs that are already in the mid-700s?! Be reminded the Math I curve isn’t as generous as Math II, i.e., it is harder to make an 800. Have you looked at the percentile rank chart for subject tests? It might help you decide what to take or not take in Dec.

^ But that’s including URMs, recruits, etc. with Hooks

I would retake the ACT UNLESS you are completely happy with your SAT I…in that case don’t even bother worrying about the ACT. If you are happy with your SAT I then don’t waste time taking either…mid-700s is good enough for Ivies.

Well my SAT I scores are currently good enough for ivys. its not perfect, but it is very good. I just don’t know if having a 31 ACT is going to hurt me in the application process. especially cause I accidentally sent the score to some schools like cornell and johns hopkins (which isn’t an ivy league but Im still applying to).

Don’t retake the ACT if you’re happy with your SAT1. What if your score doesn’t go up? And if you really want to, maybe take the Math2. Chances are you do better on it than on the Math1.

I took math level 2 already and got 740, which is why I want to retake it. But I think im going to take math level 1 too cause I took a practice test in the blue book and got 790 without ever studying ot anything so hopefully if I study I will do just as well in the real test
