hey everybody..should i retake bio sat ii..i got a 640 on it & i know its lowww but how about if i do good on the other tests?? is that fine??

Well, I'd imagine it depends on what other tests you take and all.... If you take another science test (Physics/Chemistry) and ace it, then it should be ok, since most colleges only ask for one score from each subject group (Science, Math, Foreign Language, History). Not entirely sure though...

how are your other satii scores?

If you got a 640 on bio after studying for it, then I would say don't worry about bio and instead do well on other tests. If you got a 640 without studying, then you should be able to improve a lot by studying for it, in which case you should retake it.

i did study for it but maybe a day...I wanted to do well on other sat ii mainly chemistry (i am very good at it plus i am taking ap chem) and math sat ii..is this fine even if i am applying for highly competitive programs, like pre-med??

I don't know much about the pre-med world, but from what I know, most schools look at your highest scores in different subject areas (Math, science, foreign language, history), so doing well in Chem and not so well in Bio shouldn't hurt you much.... Then again, in pre-med, maybe they look for your Bio score? You should look at the websites of the universities you're applying to and see what they say about SAT IIs.

Pre-med is not a major. It is a track of courses that are recommended you take because med schools require them. That said, which SAT IIs you take depends on what your major will be.

On the other hand, if you're applying to combined BA/MD or BS/MD programs, those are much harder to get into and may require 1-2 science SAT IIs with good scores.

I'm guessing you'll be a science major? In that case, just make sure you have a good science score (either chem or bio, probably wouldn't make much difference) and one or two other solid scores in any subjects.
If you think you can do well on bio, then study for it and retake. Otherwise, just focus on other SAT IIs.
