Retake Math II for Biochem major?

So I took the SAT 2 Math II last June after taking pre-calc and got a 700, which I know is pretty bad, partly because I only studied for it for about two weeks, but also partly because math is not my best subject. I'm planning on taking the SAT 1 this March, and retaking Math II sometime this year because I heard a good score is needed for a prospective science major.

I haven't started re-studying for Math II yet, so when do you think would be the best time to take the test? I really want to do well on the SAT 1, but I also want to get at least above a 750 on Math II (hopefully a 800).

Any advice/tips/help would be much appreciated!!

I did not have time to study for it during the year. So instead of taking it in June, I took it in October after having studied for it during the summer. I think I did much better than a lot of the people that took in June who are certain they want to take it again.

There are a lot of helpful study guides that will prepare you. I used Barrons and Chung Tips. Might be a lot harder than the test but they are still helpful. Then, use the College Board guide (not sure if you already used it). It has two Practice Tests, which in my case, were pretty good predictors for what I got on the actual test.
