Thursday my Subject test scores come back and I feel that I got around a 750 on BIO and around a 700 on Math I. I though Math I would be a breeze and I actually found myself struggling for time so I will definitely retake. If I retake Math I and do better will my collegeboard account replace my first score with the higher one or will both scores just be there? (Penn looks at all scores). And can I take both Math I and Math II in one sitting. Also, I’m planning to go ED to UPenn so will a score of 750 in BIO be good enough or should I aim higher? Thanks in advance.
If you retake, both of your scores will show up on your CollegeBoard account. It doesn’t matter whether you did worse or better. And yes, you can take both Math I and Math II in one sitting.
What are you interested in majoring in? An SAT II of 750+ is usually good enough for most top institutions, but if you are looking to major in biology or something related to that, it may not look as nice.
@allista thinking of majoring in bio, but would retaking a 750 look a little obsessive or no? Would time be better invested elsewhere? I’m gonna wait and see how I did
Personally, I retook a 780 (in Math II), but that was because I was already slated to take Physics. So all I had to do was basically pay the test fee and just sit one hour longer (I also felt that an 800 was guaranteed).
@Kyuutoryuu @allista Luckily I got a 780 on BIO, so I don’t think I’m gonna retake. Very happy. However, I got a 710 on Math 1. Would it make sense to retake Math I or just take Math II at the next one, or do both?
