Retake Math II?

I got a 760 in Math II last June, and I’m planning on taking the US history and chem subject tests (plan to get 800 on both)

Should I retake my Math II?

I have May, June, October, and November to take subject tests. I will probably take US History in May and Chem in June.

Should I focus on my essays in Oct. and Nov.? Retake the 760?

are you a junior? I’m assuming you are if you’re planning for the next year

First of all:
Have you taken the SAT? And if so, what did you get on the math section? If not, do you have any idea how you would do?
What are you planning to major in – at the very least, would it be mathematics/science related?
Last question: What kind of colleges are you aiming for, on a selectivity scale?

My immediate reaction is no, you don’t need to retake, but your answers to these questions might change things

@lilypippili

I took the Dec SAT and I’m pretty sure I got a 800 math

Planning to major in the humanities… prob history or poli sci.

Ivies. I’m applying to Harvard ED

Harvard doesn’t have an ED?

@anxiousenior1

lol you know what I mean… REA

That probably won’t be necessary. Even in the Ivy Leagues the normal range is 720-800, so not everyone is getting a perfect score. 760 is definitely pretty good.

yeah you’re still good. Your SAT score proves you’re (Ivy-level) good at math, and you’re not even going to be a math/science major. No need to retake! :smiley:

btw… you should know there’s no Harvard ED, only restrictive early action

760 in math 2 is fine for any school, particularly for non-STEM major.
