Retake SAT?

Hello,

I took the SAT and ACT for the first time in June. While I got a 36 composite (36 R, 36 M, 36 S, 36 E, 35 E&W), I only got a 2220 on the SAT (750 R, 680 M, 790 W). Do you think I should still retake the SAT, even though I did really well on the ACT?

Thanks!!

This may help: http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/sat-preparation/1356034-self-answer-should-i-retake.html

My answer would be a no. Send in the 36.

Thanks!! Very helpful little checklist thing.

The take away is that you are the only one who can make this decision. Although the checklist will help, don’t discount your gut feeling entirely.

I vote don’t retake the SAT! You generally only need to submit either ACT OR SAT scores to colleges, not both. Your great ACT score means you’re basically set  Even if there is some college out there that wants both, nobody will reject you because of your SAT score. Good job!
