I have a 34 ACT, 4.05 weighted GPA, and just got my December sat II scores back:
Math 2: 800
Physics: 780
Literature: 670
I am wondering if I should retake literature in January. The reason it is so low is because I found out I needed to take a 3rd subject test for Georgetown the night before the test. I thought it was only 2. So should I retake it or not?
Thanks for replying, my school doesnt do class rank but i think im top 20% at least. I had a 3.86 cumulative weighted gpa at the end of sophomore year, but my junior year gpa was 4.5 so it averaged to 4.05 with my previous years. This year I am taking AP Lit, AP Gov, AP Com Sci A, AP env. sci, AP Physics C, AP Micro/Macro, multivariable calculus. My semester GPA for senior year will be 4.58, cumulative will be 4.17. I am hoping this upward trend and challenging senior year will help.
Also my mom is faculty at Georgetown, I dont know how much weight that has.
Your grades are probably OK for Georgetown, though they seem to really not want students below the top 10% so it is probably good your school doesn’t rank if you might be lower than that. I would hope your mother being on faculty would help quite a bit
