So for SAT2 World History, I got a 590- really bad. Should I bother to retake this on June 4th- the only test date available for this?
I'm taking SAT2 USH / Math II / and Chem this year also, probably in May (the Saturday after all 3 of my AP exams).
If I study for SAT2 WH from May7th onwards to June 4th, i'm sure i can pull 650+, not sure about 700 necessarily, but the 590 may be a death sentence on my apps.
On my SAT2's this year I expect all 700+ so... opinions?

Please retake it!
In my opinion, if you don’t get over 700 on the SAT II exams, don’t even bother sending them to any college!

No school requires more than 3 SAT IIs. So, if you feel confident about the three you are taking this year, there is no need to retake the WH.

But in some instances I have to send them to colleges if they ask for all scores (right?)- So I think I should retake it. And are you saying that I should aim for 700+ on it too if I retake it so it helps admissions, at the moment I’m just concerned it will weigh against me.

I would retake the 590 because the colleges that ask for all scores will think that you gave up on history.

I’m taking the SAT USH one this year anyways too, so I won’t have “given up on history.” And I’m applying to engineernig w/ pre med, so history has less weight than Chem and Math II
