Retake?

Should I retake the ACT if I got a 33 composite score. It is 99th percentile and I don't know if I should retake or just focus on sat subject tests.

I got a 33 the first time too. I decided to take it again because my math was a 28 (grrr). I managed to get a 34 on my next test. So, I would say, take it again. There is a 55% chance your score will increase and like a 20% chance it will stay the same.

Not enough info. Where are you wanting to go to school?

My scores were

English 32
Math 32
Reading 32
Science 34

MY schools are Stanford, Uc Berkeley, UC LA, Harvard, and Columbia.

You’ve got a very aggressive list of schools there.

I’d suggest taking again. If you are afraid you won’t do as well the second time an easy solution to that is not to send the scores to the schools until after you get the results. That is always an option.

If you’re able to, you should probably retake to be more competitive at your top choices.

And those schools are mostly reaches/matches, do you have any other safety schools in mind? I’m certainly not saying it’s impossible for you to get in, but everyone needs a few safeties that they wouldn’t mind attending :)
