retakes: do they look bad?

<p>(hypothetically speaking) if a student didn't do so well on an sat ii (say 500s-600s) and studied over the summer, retook and send better scores to college (700s-800), that doesn't look BAD, does it? </p>

<p>No, it doesn't look bad, since subject tests are based on knowledge rather than inherent aptitude. Unless you take it more than 3 times, than that's just excessive.</p>
