Retaking a 2150

Just got my scores: 730 CR 760 M 660 W. I have also already taken three sat II: French 780 math II 780 and physics 670. I am going to apply to Georgetown, therefore I need three subject test, but I don't want to give them the physics one, so I am definitely going to retake it. Do you think that I should also take the sat another time (it would be my third) as well? Just to try raising my writing score...

I’m retaking it for Math and Writing.

I really want perfect math and writing.
Your SAT IIs are stellar.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but Georgetown now says that you only have to submit two sat ii’s, not three (as in the past).

Well, they don’t REQUIRE three sat subject tests, but they strongly recommend it…

Bluntly put, only retake if you are absolutely confident that you can do better. I’ve had too many friends retake 2200s, assuming that they could get 2300+ and end up not doing better and sometimes even worse.

In my experience, my scores across tests were pretty consistent in Math/CR and varied widely in writing. Many writing questions just come down to knowing the right vocabulary or idiom, so it’s kinda hit and miss. If you have the time, it might be worth retaking, but keep in mind that writing is the least important of all three sections. Many schools give little to no consideration to the writing portion at all.
