I had to take remedial courses to get into college-level courses. I ended up with Cs in those remedial courses, should I retake them or just let them be? I know they do not count as credit but the colleges I have looked at say they will be calculated into my overall GPA and I want to make sure I perform well in them.
Assuming the retake grades will indeed be calculated towards your cumulative GPA, and you think you’ll be able to perform substantially better the second time around, then go for it.
I think so, I got 3 Cs, one in remedial English, remedial reading, and remedial math, and I know how Cs can bring down your gpa a lot so I will consider retaking one of them or two. Thank you for your response.
I would retake them all to assure you are ready for college courses. They don’t provide credit toward graduation a shave a good tuition rate. However, you get to focus your attention on the material. I also suggest different faculty for each to learn how faculty differ even on the same material. You don’t want to confuse content with me style. Also, become a regular user of the Learning Center.
I started at my local community college in January 2017. I had to take remedial courses to get into college level courses I have recieved 3 Cs in my remedial courses and would like to retake some of them. I know they do not count as college credit but he schools I am looking at say they will be calculated into my overall GPA when I send over my transcripts and transfer application for Spring 2029. Any suggestions?
