Retaking SAT, should I reuse the blue book?

I took the SAT in November and got a 2200. From August-Oct of 2013, I took every single test in the official blue book, but now that I'm getting ready to give the SAT one last shot, I'm not sure what to do. Will my practice tests scores be inflated if I use the blue book again because I have some memory of the past questions?

Any advice/suggestions would be helpful.

I personally don’t think redoing official SAT tests helps much. Others might disagree with me. The reason is that SAT questions(math for sure) lose their edge if you have seen the question before. The key is to have high accuracy with questions that come in different flavors. The best bet would be to do this with new tests. I would say use the set of tests in the Official Online Course from Collegeboard, or these additional tests that I listed at this link: <a href=“Links to Additional Official SAT Practice Tests from CollegeBoard - SAT Preparation - College Confidential Forums”>http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/sat-preparation/1277787-links-to-additional-official-sat-practice-tests-from-collegeboard-p1.html</a></p>

If you want to get the same score again. ;)

@SATQuantum I got a 770 in math so that’s not really what I’m concerned about. Do you see it being an issue for reading/writing?

Yes, reusing same tests would not be as effective as taking ‘clean’ tests. Why not use the link Quantum very helpfully provided? Or, as Quantum suggested, pay for the on-line CB tests, although that probably isn’t necessary if you use the linked exams.

@CT1417 I’ll definitely use the ones that Quantum linked, but I’ll probably burn through those pretty quickly. I guess I’ll just get the online course if I want a lot more practice.

Some tutoring organizations have access to older exams as three QAS tests are ‘distributed’ each year. There is also the one free on-line one on the CB site but that one is recycled regularly. Before you bother printing off a test, check the essay question and the first math page to ensure that you haven’t already taken the test. My job was to keep supplying my son with practice tests and I found that a test listed as May Sunday was the same as Oct Saturday, in different years. Good luck! You have a great score already, but am guessing you are trying to work on the CR.

770 is a great score on the math, congratulations! Unfortunately, I don’t teach the Verbal sections of the SAT and I am not in a position to comment whether repeating them would be of any use. My hunch would to recommend using clean new Official SAT tests.

You might be able to reuse the blue book for writing or math, but I definitely wouldn’t for CR.
