Hi there,
I'm new here and I haven't reslly found a thread pertaining to my situation exactly. So, I wrote my SAT STs in November this year and got a 780 in math, 750 in physics and 730 in chem. I was satisfied with math so I went ahead and retook my physics and chem in December and got worse marks. I didn't cross 700 in physics and got a 700 in chem. I didn't understand what I did wrong. So I'm giving it one last go in January and I don't know if I should redo the tests I have in my review book or just study, and look through the test questions. I'm really trying for 800s and I just don't seem to get it.

Also, do the questions about how many semesters I have done and how often we have lab things before we start the test affect how they check the sat paper
Example, if you tick less than 3 semesters do they make the curve more generous?

I got 720 in Chem and took it up to 770. I think if u got 730 u know ur Chen well enough but u just have to do lots from practice tests and learn what u did wrong. As for the tick marks I’m about 99% sure that dosent affect curve at all if it did I’m sure I would’ve heard someone say something about it before good luck in ur retake!

I dont know what to do really. How exactly to prepare for a retake.
Should I do all the papers I solved again? I dont see any point in that since I’ll probably be doing the answers I know again.

EDIT: Also, could you tell me how you prepared for your retake.

Also, do the tests get difficult with every one. Because, the december test bombed for me.

The colleges would most likely not receive the scores from the Jan 26 test you are planning to take on time to include it in their deliberation. They will, however, have the high scores from your first time. I don’t think you should take it again.
