I'm Asian and I want to apply to top-notch universities. Are scores other than 800 acceptable (especially since I'm Asian)?

I only have 2 subject tests so far: 770 Bio and 780 Math 2. Should I retake these? Also, do I need to take a third SAT II?

I'm going to be a senior next year btw.

I don’t want to live on this planet anymore.

:l
I’m actually not trolling…

I’m just really disappointed that I didn’t do better at least on math.
I’m simply asking for your honest opinions.

I think as long as you get scores above 750, they will be viewed pretty much in the same way.

Haha prowlings this is a joke, you’re fine. Anything 750+ is good for elite colleges. 770 for bio is really good and for math, your percentile probably doesn’t look good because a lot of smart people take it and do very well, but that won’t reflect poorly on you.

(source: 750 on Math II, 790 on Bio)

Also, you don’t NEED to take another SAT II, but some colleges (Georgetown) want three.

Thanks!! So would it look bad if I were to retake math 2 for 20 points?

It may make the admission office feel you are score obsessive. In addition, don’t you have more useful things to do? You would be crazy with school application in Fall and don’t have time for that 20 points increase.

Bio’s fine. Your grade on Math II is unfortunate, but not low enough to warrant a retake. Try to compensate with an 800 on SAT math.

How is a 780 in Math II “unfortunate”?? Can someone explain please?

Thank you, indiankid, for understanding. And that’s actually really good advice. I will put all of my energy into perfecting SAT I. ^.^

Thanks prowlings!
@crystal19 I described it as unfortunate since even though it was a good score, an 800 is basically expected on Math II due to the curve.
