Q on letters of reco

so say a teacher accepts to do my teacher recommendation forms. does he/she have to fill out all 5 different sheets for the 5 different schools I am applying to? seems like a lot of work for them.

you're applying to 5 different schools as a transfer student? maybe narrow that down a bit...

I think that most schools will accept the common app form. Even Stanford (check me on this) says the teacher can use his own letter but needs to make sure to answer the "rating" questions. So teacher can do one, keep it on his computer or hard copy and submit in envelopes you provide to any number of schools.

THANKS for the replies. has anyone ever asked a professor that they didn't know well to do the letter of recommendation? i mean, say you got an A in the class and talked to the prof. a couple times, but nothing personal. or is everyone asking a professor that they know pretty well?

any answer to the above question appreciated..thank you
