Review of "UP YOUR SCORE BOOK"

Has any one used this book? It is written by the IVY leaguers. Any one?

It’s written by Ivy Leaguers who took the SAT over a decade ago.
I don’t know about it’s “NEW SAT” edition, but the “OLD SAT” edition looked like a bunch of crap to me.

My kids used this book and found it very helpful. They have recommeded it to many of their friends (most of whom did not do test prep classes of any kind). These kids ranged from 1500 scorers (new SAT) to 2100 + scorers and all have found it helpful. All felt it helped increase their score although we are not talking 200 point jump here - more like 50 to 100 points.

While it was originally written by Ivy Leaguers who are past their test taking years, every new edition has 4-6 current HS seniors or college students who did extremely well (perfect or near perfect) on the SAT who help revise the new book. And no, these guest editors are not all Ivy Leaguers.

Best thing about it is it is a far easier read than most SAT prep books. The editors have fun with it so it is a little easier for most students to get through it but it still contains a lot of good advice and recommendations for improving your score.

It was funny, but i think the advice isn’t as good as the advice by other books.
