Reviewed-Decision Pending

yes, they won't leave you're hanging, as long as they remember that you're not canadian

alright, thanks coffee

Does anyone know the percentage of students who got accepted last year when they first received a "Reviewed - Decision Pending?"

Yeah, I have this same **** on Minerva too. It's driving me crazy. I wouldn't mind as much if UBC wasn't taking forever to respond too.

This swearing censor system is ******** (rhymes with pull-fit). I can't say **** (yuck), **** (pit), ***** (itch), **** (dock), **** (punt), or anything like that, but I can say faggot and nigger? Who's running this system???

patience guys.. patience

it's been about 2 weeks since i got decision-pending. stressful, but they're looking to wrap up by the 30th of march (said an admissions officer). keep checking. that's all you can do.

A little update for us stressed out kids: I called McGill yesterday, and (after 20 minutes on hold) I was informed that I would receive a decision in a few weeks. Can't say I'm particularly happy with this bit of news, but at least it might the alleviate the potential agony if you find you still don't have a decision by Saturday.

Personally, I'm going to be visiting Montreal the next week, so I think I may just pay the admissions office a little visit. ;)

A few weeks?!?! AHHHHHHHHH

Keep in mind it's still possible to get a decision soon... just less likely.

i had to wait about 4 weeks @ decision pending before i got an acceptance [2 days ago] i'm sure you'll hear very soon too..

yeah, I have that same problem too. I think it's been about 3-4 weeks and today, March 31, the status still hasn't changed.

I guess I'll be waiting a couple of weeks, like meshuggener said, but I do need to find out soon...

Wow....I applied October 4th and I've known I wanted to go to McGill since i was 12, I can't take this **** any longer. I know I won't even get in after all this too.

I really don't understand why they say they will notify you by or on March 30th if there are several people including myself who have not yet been notified and it is now officially April 1st on the East Coast. I'm getting a little irritated considering most people have heard by now either before, way before, or on March 30th. Whatever, wait and see.

I read online at the mcgill 2011 facebook community that there is a chance you guys may find out by may 18th, and yes, I'm talking about AMERICANS.

I'm not exactly sure, I'm going to find out more to make sure. I think this is the case for me, because the person who posted this is applying to the Faculty of Arts, and so am I. Which faculty did everyone else who's still waiting apply to?

I'm waiting for engineering

even if you do have to wait till 5/18, can't you treat decision pending like a wait-list. So say CMU hopeful gets into CMU, but really loves McGill, if 5/1 rolls around and he still hasnt heard back from McGill would it be a faux-pas for him to send his deposit to CMU, and if good news comes the 18th, cancel his enrollment at CMU and send another deposit to McGill?

does that make sense?

yeah, I figured it was something like being waitlisted, only not. It's just there is a waitlisted option for status, it's kind of weird they just didn't do that instead. It also sucks waiting (when you think you're suppose to find out by the 30th) and then possibly losing the deposit money to another school.

okay, so this is apparently what happened according to an applicant: they had so many applications this year that they had to extend the deadline.

"Further Review Required". Ok, I understand what this means, but I can't figure out what I could be missing. Everything on the requirements list has a date under the "recieved" heading. What should I do?

Just talked to someone on the phone. She said I should find out by mid-April....
