Revival

This nc state forum has been dead for awhile now. Anyone have anything to say? If you visit this just post something so we know ur there.

I guess no postings since State will not post decisions till the 30th or so, right?

multitasker-are you too waiting for a decesion on the 30tth?

you guessed right

multi- u live in nc

So if you got your app. in after Dec. 1, then Jan. 30 is the date you hear?
My neighbor's kid applied after 12/1 and wasn't sure when they would hear.

BTW, got a note from Momhippo saying her S would not be attending NCSU. He was in the running for the Park scholarship too. So you won't see her on the forum anymore.

Hope you all get great news on 1/30. My S has 3 semesters left at NCSU and has loved his time there.

PackMom, it depends on when they sent in the app, from ncsu site:

Deadline 1: October 15
Notification Date: December 15

Deadline 2: November 1 - Early Action Deadline
Notification Date: January 30

Deadline 3 and College of Design deadline: December 1
Notification Date: March 15

Final Review Deadline: February 1
Final Review Notification Date: March 30

Thanks repoman, I'll tell my friend the Jan. 30 date.

packmom-so ur neighbir's applied before november 1

Sorry for all my typos. I think he applied before Dec. 1 not Nov. 1...oops.

He applied to the College of Forestry because he doesn't think he'll be accepted to the College of Mangement (his real interest) due to to his gpa/class rank. The plan is to try to get in the back door using Forestry and then transfer to the COM. It could backfire on him. He was deferred from UNCW and is also waiting to hear from ASU.

did he consider applying for the first year college and then transfering?

Don't know, haven't seen his Mom recently to ask. Heard about the Forestry
thing from another neighbor/friend.
My S1 (NCSU Jr.) says neighbor kid will prob. get accepted to Forestry because kids with lower stats get in there with no prob. but then you have to have a pretty good GPA to transfer to College of Management because it is such a popular major. This whole plan could backfire on them. Hope not for the kid's sake. Don't know who pointed them in that direction rather than FYC.

packmom- whats ur S1 major?

He is in the College of Natural Resources.
