Revoke of acceptance?

Hello, I’m an IB student and I was accepted into Smith ED. My IB scores are my final grades and so far I’ve been doing quite well. I know this is a bit early but due to some very big issues, I haven’t been able to study as much as I’d like to for my IB finals (which start tomorrow). My Mock IB exam results were a 34/42 and my predicted grade is a 39/45. However, I’m a little worried that I may not be able to get a 39. I’m sure I’ll attain a minimum 36/45 though. My school knows about the situation and has offered to email Smith, explaining that due to the grave circumstances, my grades may not be up to my potential. IBO also knows about this but unfortunately, they couldn’t postpone exams or use the “adverse situation” rule since we haven’t finished 50% of our assessment yet. I’ve been studying as best as possible and will study now as well. However, I simply couldn’t stop worrying and wanted some opinion regarding my situation.
(More in depth info: I’m an IB student in Nepal and we suffered a 7.8 RS earthquake last saturday. Aftershocks are still happening but since we’re the only IB school in Nepal, I think IBO was unwilling to postpone exams for us.)

And since I couldn’t find much info regarding IB grades specifically and a situation like mine, I thought it best to post here. Any help is greatly appreciated! I shall go back to studying for now .-.

Goodness. If they revoke you for suffering through an earthquake I’m going to march myself up there and yell at them. I sure hope they wouldn’t do that. Good luck and peace to you. You should definitely have the school email them.

@redpoodles Actually, great news just now! Smith sent me an email telling me that they’re sending positive thoughts to me and my family and are willing to help as much as possible. More importantly, they’ve mentioned that they know that because of the earthquake, there might be disruptions to my school schedule that could impact my taking international exams and that they would definitely take this into consideration when reviewing any test results!

This seriously makes me feel so much better. Thank you Redpoodles! Gonna get back to studying once again

You wouldn’t have to. I have no doubt, were Smith to revoke an earthquake victims’ admission, there would be a larger student protest than there was when Dinesh D’Souza spoke on campus.
